1976 Crescent Iron Works – Structural Steel Fabricator. Chief Engineer with experience in weld design, weld inspection, and general steel fabrication techniques

   

1982 Structural Design Engineer for Kenneth D. Lathrum and Associates – Structural engineering for a variety of architectural projects including offices, churches, commercial and residential

   

1985 Engineering Systems Consultants, a subsidiary of Wilson Concrete (Currently Core Slab) – Precast, Prestressed Concrete Design – Promoted to Chief Engineer with a wide variety of prestressed concrete design including rigid frame structures, parking garages, and many other types of unique structure designs

   

1987 Schneider Structural Engineering, Inc. (SSE) – Started C. J. Schneider Structural Engineering Co.

   

1997 Established Schneider Sharples Corporation and integrated   structural engineering offices: SSI in Dallas, Texas; ESE in Denver, Colorado; ESS in Portland, Oregon; and SSE in Omaha, Nebraska

 

Professional Organizations

 

PCI – Prestressed Concrete Institute – Active with PCI for nearly two decades. Previous member of the Seismic Committee.  While on the Tolerance Committee published the current document on tolerances (MNL-135-00) with new emphasis on responsibility.  While on the Connection Committee active with the creation of the connection design manual

   

NCEES – National Council of Engineering Examiners –Member of the Civil Engineering Examination Committee and the previous 2004 – 2008 Chairman of the NCEES Structural I Examination and the NCEES Structural II Examination Committees

 

AWS and AISC – American Welding Society and American Institute of Steel Construction – Has been a member for over two decades.  Has remained current with welding technology since leaving Crescent Iron Works as Chief Engineer

ACI – American Concrete Institute – Recently acknowledged with a 25 year membership plaque
