Additional Project Information
Schneider Structural Engineering (SSE) has the experience and expertise to solve many unique problems. SSE was called to investigate a roof structure consisting of Bowstring Timber Trusses that were showing signs of distress. The roof structure was above a production area of a food facility that needed to remain in operation. SSE’s investigation determined that the distress to the structure was significant and posed some Life Safety concerns. SSE worked with the owner and a locally available contractor to design and detail sanitary temporary shoring to avoid production obstacles. The temporary shoring allowed the facility to remain in operation safely until final repair solutions could be designed, detailed, and installed. SSE inspected the temporary shoring and designed the final repairs that brought the facility up to the current code requirements so the facility could remain in operation safely for many years to come.
